Heroic Games Launcher

Heroic gives you a clean native library for your Epic, GOG, and Amazon games, handling downloads, cloud saves, Proton/Wine-GE version management, and per-game launch options. It’s honestly a nicer experience than the official Epic launcher on Windows — faster, no ads, and it remembers your settings. For claiming those weekly free Epic games and actually playing them on Linux, this is the tool.

Limitations mostly inherit from upstream: games with kernel-level anticheat (Fortnite included, ironically) won’t run regardless of launcher, and Epic’s social/multiplayer overlay features aren’t replicated. Cloud save sync occasionally needs manual path fixes for Wine-installed titles. It’s an Electron app, so expect a few hundred MB of RAM for a launcher.
