Flowblade

Linux alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro

About

Flowblade takes an insert-editing approach borrowed from traditional film workflows: three-point editing, trim tools, and a keyboard-first philosophy that gets fast once it clicks. It’s lightweight, stable, and built on the same MLT foundation as Kdenlive, with a compositing system and G’MIC filter integration that punch above its profile.

It’s a mostly one-developer project, so releases come slowly and the ecosystem (tutorials, community answers) is thin compared to Kdenlive. The workflow is genuinely different from Premiere-style editing — some people love it, others bounce off immediately. Try it on a small project before committing.
