GParted
Linux alternative to MiniTool Partition Wizard
About
GParted is the tool for disk surgery: create, resize, move, copy, and format partitions across every filesystem that matters (ext4, Btrfs, NTFS, FAT, exFAT and more), with an operation queue you review before anything touches the disk. The GParted Live ISO is a essential rescue tool — dual-boot repairs, shrinking Windows partitions, and reclaiming space all happen here.
Partition editing is inherently dangerous: interrupted moves can destroy data, so backups first, always, and resize NTFS from Windows’ own tools when possible to keep Windows happy. It won’t manage LVM volumes fully or handle encrypted volumes gracefully. KDE users get similar functionality in KDE Partition Manager, but GParted Live remains the universal recommendation.
